Overnight Christmas Getaway!

In celebration of Christmas Mommy, Daddy, and I spent the night away at the Gaylord Texan located in Grapevine, Texas.  We renamed the Gaylord the "Christmas Hotel" because of all of its elaborate Christmas decorations and activities.
I was fascinated by all of the sights and sounds at the Gaylord but guess what my favorite part of this getaway was?  Staying in the room and playing with the telephone (which was unplugged.) I also enjoyed riding up and down in the glass elevators. :-) Our room balcony overlooked the atrium of the hotel and I loved the freedom to sit outside and people watch.  I also got a yummy gingerbread treat which took me two days to eat.
The morning of Christmas Eve Daddy surprised Mommy and I with breakfast in bed. We had donuts, chocolate milk and coffee.  It was so much fun!  After our morning treat we got dressed and went to see the ICE exhibit.  Each year the Gaylord hosts ICE.  It's truly spectacular with 14,000-square-foot of ICE which is a chilly 9 degrees.  This years ICE exhibit features a Peanuts Theme: Charlie Brown's Christmas which was hand-carved by over 40 visiting artisans from China.  After bundling up in the required and supplied blue parkas we journeyed through the maze of Charlie Brown and his friends celebrating Christmas. This was an amazing way to celebrate the Christmas Holiday. Thank you Mommy and Daddy!
