Hippity Hoppity Easter!

Here comes Peter Cottontail, hopping down the bunny trail, hippity hoppity Easter's on its way....

Easter began Friday morning as I got Lily ready for school. She was excited to show off her Bunny Pillowcase dress with matching bows that Tammaw made for her. Man, is Tammaw talented! :-)  I HAD to snap a few pictures of Lily on our front porch before we headed off to preschool. Her school celebrated with an Easter Egg Hunt and parade and of course, Lily had a blast!

Mimi and Grandpa came into town and we enjoyed a seafood dinner in Grapevine Friday evening. Saturday was Aunt Megan's 30th Birthday. We ventured out to Dallas for her birthday dinner. We had a great time until a storm brewed and forced the party to end.

Sunday morning Lily awoke extra early to see if the Easter Bunny paid her a visit.  She was very pleased to find an Easter Basket fit for a Princess! After breakfast we headed to church.  I'll admit, Aaron and I haven't been avid church goers since our marriage. I know, excuses, excuses but there is no excuse. There was something so comforting and joyful about sitting in our church where we were married and Lily was baptized. I truly felt at home.  It also made my heart sing to see how much Lily enjoyed the service. She loved the music and could not contain her excitement. When the choir performed Handel's Messiah (Hallelujah) she actually went out into the center isle and danced. After the performance the congregation clapped and Lily beamed with pride (she thought the applause was for her!) :-)

After church Aaron and I made lunch and we spent the day playing and visiting with our families. During a visit from Tammaw and Pawpaw I caught Lily in my bathroom staring into the mirror with her new pillow pet. Notice they were both wearing crowns. She is such a princess and she LOVED her Easter Dress. (thank you, Mimi) I nearly had to rip it off of her that night.  After our very enjoyable and busy day, Lily was in bed and asleep by 7:00PM. That was my Easter Gift!
